Short animation video about Open Data: what it is, ways of leveraging data, and how it affects our everyday lives.
Open data is the idea that some data should be freely available to everyone to use and republish as they wish, without restrictions from copyright, patents or other mechanisms of control. This includes both government data, and data made available by companies. The video talks about open data concepts, and how it can be used by everyone.
The animation was created and processed in After Effects, and the assets in Adobe Illustrator. Voiceover was done via Google's open source voice engine, and the soundtrack is Nixblicker - The Freeharmonic Orchestra (public free to use).
